We are enjoying an exceptional hotter than hot summer this year with that in mind let’s not forget those feet of ours they are after all taking the strain! Below are the items I use to keep my feet looking their best:-
Cuticle oil
Cuticle oil is really great for softening the cuticle around the nail I normally apply the oil and wait about around 1-2 minutes before soaking my feet I also use it at the very end of my pedicure session.
Cuticle Nail Pusher
The cuticle nail pusher is excellent for removing soaked nail gel off and doubles as a cuticle pusher it pushes the skin from your cuticles back and away from your nails leaving note steal cuticle are best for tough hard cuticle and wooden cuticle pushers are recommended for soft cuticles. For best results soak your feet first otherwise you may end up getting cuts (you don’t want that!)
Cuticle Nippers
I use the cuticle nippers for a precise and close trim to remove stubborn cuticle growth at the side of the toe nail and the delicate cuticles around my toes give may nails that well pedicured look.
Nail file
Nail files can be purchased just about anywhere but because I have acrylic on my big toes (only) I use 80/100 grade nail files to shape my big toe nails and an ordinary file to shape the remaining nail.
Calloused Heels
Getting rid of calloused heels is relatively easy, Boots Hard Skin Remover, smooths away rough, dry callused and hard skin on the heels and balls of your feet. I use this twice a week, just add a drop of your favourite shower gel or foot scrub to you heel lather up and scrub!
Polish Optional
Lastly the polish, you don’t have to polish your nails natural is ok but I prefer to polish and change my colour once a week normally on a Sunday evening unless I am wearing gel or shellac in which case I change my polish every two to three weeks unless the polish is chipped.
So failing all the above if you are pushed for time or unable to perform a pedicure a home don’t worry there are so many nail bar/salons on every high street to choose from to maintain your feet.
Remember there is nothing worse than a well put together person then you look down see gorgeous sandals with cracked hard calloused heels and or chipped toe nails.
