I stumbled across the L’Oréal Les Chocolats Liquid Lipsticks the other day and pick up 3 shade Cacao Crush (868) one for my boss, a colleague and one for myself on a buy two get one free deal at Boots…I’m generous like that, lol.
I have a few liquid to matt lipsticks already and was somewhat intrigued to see the results of the L’Oréal Les Chocolats Liquid Lipstick. When I open the lipstick it looked like a deep purple hmmmm not sure about my colour choice…… but once I applied the lipstick it was more of a rich dark brown colour, love it.
Seriously happy with L’Oréal Cacao Crush (868) lipstick the hunt began for different shades from the L’Oréal Les Chocolats Liquid Lipstick range began, at which point I noted there were 12 liquid to matt lipsticks in the collection, I purchased 3 more colours, my choices were, Oh My Choc! (858) 70% Yum (856) and Bittersweet (854).
Staying power I have worn all 4 of the colours now and have found that they take about 20 minutes to dry but once the lipstick has set believe me when I say it sets. I have not worn the lipstick for 12 hours yet, so at his point I cannot comment.
The shape of the applicator was a brilliant idea!! It made applying the lipstick so easy normally I would outline my lips with a pencil but due to the triangular shape of the applicator wide at the bottom to a point at the top (teardrop shape) my application was easy.
As mentioned before I have a few liquid to matt lipsticks which cost twice the price of the L’Oréal Les Chocolats Liquid Lipstick and was pleasantly surprise at the £7.99 price point. Were they worth the price, yes they certainly were I recon £10.99 would have been a fair price point too!
One thing to point out, as this is the L’Oréal Chocolat range the lipsticks do have a chocolatey scent to them so if you don’t like scents in makeup this may not be for you.
Have you tried any or all of the L’Oréal Chocolat range, what are your thoughts and what is your favorite colour?
Until next time….Happy shopping!!
